Mauricio Awak, from Caracas (Venezuela), graduated as graphic designer from the Arts Institute of Venezuela and he was only 8 when he discovered his passion in Art class at school. Since then, his passion led him to dedicate himself to editorial, graphic and web design for more than 15 years.
His first steps as a designer was developing flyers logos and designs for internal events of the school. That’s when he knew design would be part of his daily life.
Mauricio’s professional career enabled him to work in wonderful work teams and to live great experiences, which led him to be Art Director at PICKASO, where he is in charge of giving the principal idea based on the concept, express this idea in a graphic way, give approval on final art and take decisions, among other stuff.
